Haiku Deck
This is a presentation on How to Draw a Dog is built using Haiku Deck. This presentation software I feel would be good for younger children 2nd grade through 6th grade. It does make the author hold the Multimedia Principle that people learn better from words and pictures than from words alone, the contiguity principles, Spatial Contiguity were people learn better when corresponding words and pictures are presented near rather than far from each other on the page or screen and Temporal Contiguity that people learn better when corresponding words and pictures are presented together rather than successively, and the Coherence Principle where people learn better when extraneous words, pictures and sounds are excluded rather than included.

The AECT Standards:
3.1 Creating - Candidates create instructional design products based on learning principles and research-based practices. This Haiku Deck program follows Richard E. Mayers Multimedia Principle, Spatial Contiguity Principle, Temporal Contiguity Principle, and Coherence Principle.
3.2 Using - Candidates make professionally sound decisions in selecting appropriate processes and resources to provide optimal conditions for learning based on principles, theories, and effective practices. This program only allows a few words on each slide and a picture has to be included which is the Multimedia Principle, of people learn better from words and pictures than from words alone, and Coherence Principle, people learn better when extraneous words, pictures and sounds are excluded rather than included, and the two contiguity principles of Spatial Contiguity Principle that people learn better when corresponding words and pictures are presented near rather than far from each other on the page or screen, and Temporal Contiguity Principle that people learn better when corresponding words and pictures are presented simultaneously rather than successively.
